Although the Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra’s Advent Sunday concert is not thematically tied to the December holidays, its atmosphere still evokes the magical feeling we often associate with the season of anticipation. The first half of the program is dedicated to Mozart: it opens with the contemplative Adagio and Fugue in C minor, K. 546, followed by a perennial favorite, the Piano Concerto in A major, K. 488, featuring Leonskaja as soloist and conducted by István Várdai.
